Better Together, Living Hope Church to host job fair in Largo Nov. 12

TAMPA, Fla. - Nov. 1, 2024 - PRLog -- Better Together is partnering with Living Hope Church to host a community job fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 12 in Largo.

With recent storm impacts from Hurricane Helene and Milton, the need is greater than ever for job seekers. Some have lost their jobs and are working to secure income to support their families and rebuild their homes. This free community job fair gives all Largo-area job seekers the opportunity to connect with local resources and hiring employers in the area.

Registration is now open for employers and job seekers to participate in the November event. Free one-on-one job coaching sessions are available to job seekers to review resumes and interviewing skills, and additional services will be available onsite. There will also be a designated table for hurricane resources along with a food trailer that will help provide meals for job seekers who have been displaced or lost their food.

The community job fair is part of Better Together's "Better Jobs" program, which has helped nearly 40,000 applicants connect with employment opportunities across 24 states. At job fairs hosted by Better Together, two-thirds of attendees get a job interview, and 1 in 4 receive a job offer on the spot. Some 70% find work within six weeks.
