WEROCK launches new Rockscan A260 series handheld mobile computers

KARLSRUHE, Germany - Dec. 3, 2024 - PRLog -- WEROCK Technologies GmbH, an innovative provider of industrial computer technology, expands its product portfolio with two new handheld mobile computers of the Rockscan A260 series. The devices run on Android 14, have a battery life of up to 16 hours and allow a scanning range of up to 14 meters. They also feature a 6.5-inch multi-touch display with glove mode and are IP67-rated for use in harsh environments.

According to the manufacturer, the Rockscan A260 series is designed to be used in harsh environments. The case is IP67-rated and can withstand falls from a height of up to 2 meters, exceeding the requirements of the MIL-STD-810H standard. With its ergonomic design and 6.5-inch multi-touch display, the handheld PDA offers intuitive operation. The device is equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera for documenting work, such as parcel delivery. In addition, a 5-megapixel front camera and VoLTE voice quality facilitate mobile communication.

The Rockscan A260 Series consists of two models: Rockscan A260 and Rockscan A265. The Rockscan A260 supports 4G-LTE, while the Rockscan A265 is equipped with 5G for ultra-fast data connections. Both devices offer dual-band Wi-Fi and dual-SIM functionality, making them easier to use in different regions or where network coverage is insufficient. Both handheld PDAs feature an octa-core processor up to 2GHz, Android 14 operating system, up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, expandable up to 2TB via micro SD card. Thanks to its high battery capacity, the Rockscan A260 provides up to 16 hours of uninterrupted operation. The battery can be quickly replaced for extended use or shift work. The 33 watt fast charge function ensures that the device is ready for use again in no time.

There are two barcode scanner options available for the Rockscan A260 series: standard range and extended range. The extended-range option provides a scanning range of up to 14 meters and captures all popular 1D and 2D bar codes. Laser aiming and integrated IntelliFocus technology ensure easy and accurate operation.

WEROCK offers a two-year warranty on the devices, which can be optionally extended. In addition, free software upgrades are offered up to Android 16. For added protection and flexibility, WEROCK offers accessories such as scanner handles, docking stations and the Rubber Boot – a protective cover that increases drop resistance up to 2 meters.
