Community Without Water for the Holidays

ATLANTA - Dec. 18, 2024 - PRLog -- Residents of Fair & Walker Lofts intend to file a lawsuit against the Condominium Association board, following a prolonged water outage that left the community without access to water for ten (10) days. Residents remain without access to water. The lawsuit seeks immediate judicial intervention, to assist in the restoration of water services, compensation for the significant disruption to residents' daily lives, as well as for violations of contractual obligations, negligence, and failure to provide basic living services as promised.

Details of the Outage: The water outage, which began on December 9, 2024, affected all units and common areas within the Fair & Walker Lofts community, leaving residents without essential water services for an extended period. Despite repeated inquiries and requests for updates, the Condominium Association did not provide residents with sufficient information regarding the cause of the outage, the expected timeline for resolution, or steps being taken to restore water service.

As a result, residents were forced to cope without access to running water for drinking, cooking, bathing, and other daily necessities. The prolonged disruption caused significant hardship for families, seniors, and individuals with medical conditions who rely on water for essential needs.

Resident Concerns: During the outage, many residents were left without adequate communication from the Condominium Association. Notices were sporadic, and updates were vague, leaving many feeling neglected and ignored. Some residents were forced to purchase bottled water or rent temporary accommodations, adding significant financial strain. "Living without water for over a week, especially in a community that charges premium fees, is not just an inconvenience it's a serious health and safety issue," said Aneesah El-Amin, a resident who has been directly impacted. "We trust the Association to manage our home and ensure it remains a safe and livable environment. Unfortunately, in this case, that trust was broken."
