Born in Commerce, Georgia, she has made a name for herself as an advocate for God, family, country, and former President Donald Trump, gaining notable attention when Trump retweeted her messages. Hughes holds an Associate Degree in Business Management and Administration from ITT Technical College and works as a Financial Professional at Hughes's Insurance. She is a mother of four and a grandmother of seven, deeply engaged in community and political activism. Her involvement in conservative politics includes running for the Georgia House of Representatives in 2016, where she campaigned as a Republican for District 116, though she did not win the election. Hughes is also known for her testimony to Congress in support of gun rights, following the tragic loss of her son, Emmanuel, to gun violence, highlighting her stance against gun control measures.
