ULDSEM to Share Stories of 5 Honorees at 46th Annual Salute to Distinguished Warriors

DETROIT - Feb. 12, 2025 - PRLog -- Detroit, Mich. The Urban League of Detroit & Southeastern Michigan (ULDSEM) will hold its 46th Annual Salute to Distinguished Warriors Event on Thursday, March 20, 2025. This annual event, which honors the legacy and impact of individuals who have contributed immeasurably to the community in the area of human and civil rights, will be held at the Detroit Marriott Renaissance Center, Located at 400 Renaissance Center, Detroit, MI  48243 starting with a VIP reception at 5:30 p.m. The dinner and program will begin at 6:30 p.m.

The Salute to Distinguished Warriors is the Detroit Urban League's largest fundraising event, with proceeds from tickets and sponsorships directly supporting programs such as the College Club-Project Ready program and the Workforce Career Development program. Attendees receive recognition during the program and membership to the Urban League.

We will be recognizing five incredible honorees by sharing their stories through exclusive interviews and conversations produced this year by WDIV TV 4. This year's honorees include:

Dr. Curtis L. Ivery - Author, Leading Educator, Chancellor, Wayne County Community College District; Vivian Rogers Pickard - Philanthropist, Business and Civic Leader, Retired GM Executive; Denise Lewis -  Senior Partner Honigman LLP, Retired Chair, UAW Retiree Medical Benefits Trust Board; Honorable Debbie Stabenow, Retired United States Senator; & Specs Howard, Broadcast Legend (Julian "Jerry" Liebman) Founder, Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts.
