Dallas Pottery Invitational to Show and Sell Unique, Functional Ceramic Wares

DALLAS - March 20, 2025 - PRLog -- Dallas Pottery Invitational today announced the roster of artists and partners contributing to the 18th Annual Dallas Pottery Invitational The event provides attendees with access to visually stunning yet functional ceramic art to be used in day-to-day activities. Scheduled for May 2 to 4, the 2025 Invitational will be held at The Empire Room at 1225 N. Riverfront Blvd., Dallas, Texas.

The art show and sale hosts works from two groups of artists, Core and Guest, who produce distinct wares using earthenware, porcelain, and stoneware clay.

Core artists are ceramicists who participate each year and include Amy Halko, Liz Lurie, Brooks Oliver, Lisa Orr, and Louise Rosenfield.

Guest artists include select talent from across the U.S. who add a unique style to the art represented at the show. This year's guest artists include Peter Beasecker, Justin D'Onofrio, Yoonjee Kwak, Heesoo Lee, Antonio Martinez, Leanne McClurg, Candice Methe and Jen Rose.

Through careful construction, molding, hand painting, sculpting, textile stamps, and pattern marking—the above artists' pottery are inspired by and convey numerous themes, such as:

• Worn with use and purpose
• Symbolizing human beings as iconic representative of Koren Culture
• Geographical layers
• Human emotions

Raffle to Win Original Pottery

During the event, an exquisite ceramic vessel, created by Julia Galloway, utilitarian potter and professor at the University of Montana, Missoula.  Attendees can show their social media post of the event to earn a free raffle entry per post.

Reception and Partner Offers

The Dallas Pottery Invitational kicks off with an opening night reception on Friday, May 2 at 6:30 p.m. Fine wines and hors d'oeuvres will be served.

Saturday, event partner Houndstooth Coffee (https://houndstoothcoffee.com/) will serve locally roasted coffee. Attendees who purchase a ceramic mug/cup, will receive a complimentary bag of freshly ground coffee.

Sunday, attendees can receive a free flower arrangement from Sage Blooms (https://sageblooms.com/) with the purchase of any water-holding vessel.
