St. Francis Animal Rescue Awarded $15,000 Grant for Emergency Veterinary Care

VENICE, Fla. - March 25, 2025 - PRLog -- St. Francis Animal Rescue of Venice, Inc., has been awarded $15,000 for emergency veterinary services from the Community Foundation of Sarasota County. This grant will help provide emergency medical care for some of the most vulnerable members in the community:  homeless cats and kittens.

Many of the cats accepted at St. Francis Animal Rescue are suffering from medical conditions ranging from mild to severe.  This grant will give these cats the medical care that they need and help them on their journey to become healthy and ready for their new forever homes.

"We are incredibly grateful to receive this grant, which will make a significant impact on the lives of cats in our care," said Theresa Fitzgerald, Executive Director of St. Francis Animal Rescue. "With this funding, we can ensure that every cat who comes to us in need of urgent medical care receives the treatment they require to recover and find a loving forever home."
