in Nicaragua

Newburgh, NY -- HR-4U INC. and Rayo de Sol are pleased to announce the results of their 1st official fundraising launch, which raised over $10K for Cocina de Transformacion (Transformation Kitchen), a community-based culinary arts training program for youth in Matagalpa, Nicaragua, held on Saturday, May 28, 2025, from 5-8 p.m. at Moonzescope, located at 137 Grand St., 3rd Fl, New York, NY 10013.

"We are incredibly grateful to all of our generous donors and sponsors who demonstrated their resounding show of support for Cook Up Change, our first in-person event," said Chason Forehand, HR-4U, INC. Founder & Visionary of Transformation Kitchen.

"We are thrilled to have successfully achieved our fundraising goal of $10K. Now, we can proceed with the construction of a new International Transformation Kitchen facility in Nicaragua," said Peter Schaller, Executive Director, Rayo de Sol."

Over 130 event attendees were treated to the debut of culinary skills of HR-4U, INC's Transformation Kitchen Chef, and students to the public.

The joint venture featured hors d'oeuvres, food sampling, artwork displays, giveaways, and a keynote speech by Chris Schembra, founder of the 7:47 Gratitude Experience, Wall St. best-selling author of "Gratitude Through Hard Times and Gratitude Through Pasta," Rollingstone columnist, and Founder of the 7:47 Gratitude Experience.

The organization collaborates with other nonprofits and hosts events to promote its mission.

Rayo de Sol is a Christian nonprofit organization based in Nicaragua. Its mission is to bring hope and positive change to children and families in the region. They focus on areas like education, healthcare, and community development, aiming to break the cycle of poverty and empower individuals to build brighter futures. Their work includes providing scholarships, school supplies, and developmental activities for youth, as well as fostering cross-cultural understanding through mission trips.
