Ti Crane's musical journey began in 1969 with the band Jouvince, where his talent as a percussionist first drew attention. He later joined the pioneering mini-jazz band Shleu Shleu, known for blending Haitian rhythms with modern sounds. In the mid-1970s, he co-founded the internationally acclaimed group Skah Shah, where his rhythmic brilliance became central to the band's success and helped push Konpa to new global heights. Over the years, Ti Crane has continued to evolve artistically, collaborating with groups like Crystal and I-Konya, and releasing his solo album Coq La Chante in 1988. His music has consistently reflected a bold fusion of tradition and innovation, earning him a lasting place as one of Konpa's most influential figures. Looking ahead, Ti Crane is preparing a full-length album set for release in 2025. This upcoming project will blend the timeless sound of classic Konpa with contemporary influences, offering something fresh for long-time fans and new listeners alike.
