Dual Registrations and Possible Double Voting Identified in 2024 General Election

TRENTON, N.J. - April 7, 2025 - PRLog -- Citizens for New Jersey Election Integrity and Project Civica announced a detailed comparative analysis of voter records from New Jersey and New York, revealing significant irregularities involving dual state voter registrations and potential double voting in the November 5^th, 2024 General Election.

The analysis uncovered 396 individuals who appear to have been recorded as casting ballots in both states in the same election, raising serious concerns about potential violations of both state and federal election laws.

In addition, the groups identified 81,839 individuals who are registered as "Active" voters in both New Jersey and New York, all sharing the same first name, middle name or initial, last name, and exact date of birth, a combination that is statistically rare.

New York and New Jersey have a combined population of approximately 30 million. Based on demographic modeling and name frequency data, only 8 to 10 individuals across the entire region would be expected to share both a full legal name and date of birth — and even fewer would be actively registered to vote in both states. The discovery of more than 81,000 such records defy statistical expectations and strongly suggests the presence of duplicate registrations tied to the same individuals, not mere coincidence.

"This isn't a fluke of common names. The statistical odds of even a dozen people legitimately sharing a full name and birthdate across two states are almost zero. Yet here we have over eighty-one thousand. These duplicates are not hard to find. Why aren't the states finding these like we did and fixing them" said Mark Demo, Director and Co-founder of Citizens for NJ Election Integrity.

"When hundreds of these individuals appear to have voted in both states in the same election, this goes beyond a data issue. It points to serious flaws and the potential for fraud within the system," added Kim Hermance, Co-founder and President of Project Civica.

Both organizations have notified the U.S. Department of Justice and are preparing formal referrals to the appropriate state and county agencies in New Jersey and New York. Each referral will include detailed documentation cross-referencing voter IDs, names, dates of birth, and recent voting history.

The groups are calling on election officials to take immediate corrective action, including:

• A full audit of active voter rolls in both states,
• Push for federal data-sharing access for all states and modernize voter systems using existing industry resources.
• Legislative oversight to identify how these duplicate registrations and potential double votes evaded existing safeguards.
