Nickel and chromium (Ni/Cr) heat resistant castings experts, Wallwork Cast Alloys, has invested £120K in new bespoke sand recycling plant from FMS Ltd. The Wallwork Cast Alloys foundry was set-up in 1986 to supply parent company Wallwork Group.

At Farnborough Airshow, Wallwork Group is keen to show the benefits that their new 2500 square metres hot isostatic pressing centre brings to their portfolio of NADCAP accredited thermal processes and hard coatings services.

The Wallwork HIP Centre has passed EN/AS9100 certification for their new hot isostatic pressing process. Installed and commissioned by Quintus Technologies in the last quarter of 2023, the HIP is now entering its fourth month of operation.

Bringing forward plans by two years, Wallwork Group have signed for a second hot isostatic press from Quintus Technologies.

Fintek are on stand 19-16 at MACH. They will show developments in post-processing and surface finishing, including larger components, superfinishing and mass finishing.

On target to significantly increase the UK's hot isostatic pressing capacity, Wallwork Group are raring to greet current and new customers alike on stand B200 at Southern Manufacturing.

Surface finishing experts, Fintek, have in invested in a new Bruker Alicona EdgeMaster. The automatic metrology system for cutting tools is supplied and supported by Optimax Imaging Inspection & Measurement Ltd in the UK.

With a £10 million investment, Wallwork Group is establishing a state-of-the-art Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP) centre at their Bury, North Manchester site.

The company is joining other champions of UK industry, on the Midlands Aerospace Alliance stand in the UK Pavilion, stand F172 Pod 1.

Expanding their plasma nitriding facilities, Wallwork are nearing the completion of a programme of increasing capacity with a sixth unit.
