SEM Link has a two-core program model, Experimental Design Program and Math and Science Career Academy. These programs provide students with opportunities to develop their math and science skills by enhancing the classroom learning experience and teaching them skills that are transferable to other areas of life. Since its inception, SEM Link has enhanced educational experiences for over 1000 Metro Atlanta youth through hands on math and science activities, career exploration and exposure to real world applications of math and science. The Society of Women Engineers (SWE), founded in 1950, is a non-profit, educational and service organization. SWE is the driving force that establishes engineering as a highly desirable career aspiration for women. SWE empowers women to succeed and advance in those aspirations, and to be recognized for their life-changing contributions and achievements as engineers and leaders. The Atlanta Section of SWE holds regularly scheduled meetings, and participates with the local technical community in annual Engineers' Week events, as well as with activities at local schools, Girl Scouts, etc. For more information about SEM Link’s programs, contact Ms. Tokiwa T.
