Program to continue.Genji Inc., purveyor of all-natural sushi and Japanese cuisine for Whole Foods Market is proud to announce that over $20,000 was raised in 2010 through its “Special Roll for a Special Cause” program, since its beginning in August.

Customer support of the charitable program is notable, as evidenced by the increase in sales of the special roll category during the promotions. “To us, this indicates that our customers care about social issues, and that they want to support businesses which contribute to altruistic organizations,” Genji will continue the “Special Roll for A Special Cause” program in 2011. In February, in honor of Black History Month, Genji will feature the Black Culinary Alliance, whose mission is to create exposure and provide educational and professional opportunities for culinary and hospitality professionals of color.
