By: Kevin Rivers Jr. Rivers entered the fight with a professional record of 12-0 with 9 wins coming by way of knockout. During a huge upset victory for Alejandro Ochoa, Rivers was knocked down for the 1st time in his professional career during the first and second rounds of the fight. After six action packed rounds of boxing 2/3 judges scored the fight in favor of Rivers opponent and the third judge scored the fight a draw after a vicious offensive comeback by Kevin Rivers Jr. Rivers’ is one of the most highly decorated boxers in the featherweight and super-featherweight divisions. Dedication and humility continue to make way for the 25 year old Christian boxer, who heavily relies on his faith both inside and outside of the ring. Following his unexpected loss Rivers released the following statement. “All praise to the Lord for guiding me through my fight. I lost my fight. I was very well prepared.
