Drive for a Cause with Motor Werks BMW

BARRINGTON, Ill. - Aug. 3, 2016 - PRLog -- Motor Werks BMW is going the extra mile to help out Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital. From now through September 3^rd, they will be donating $1 for every test drive mile that is driven. All of the money raised will go directly to the Advocate Charitable Foundation at Good Shepherd Hospital to help make quality healthcare more accessible for individuals, families, and communities throughout the area.

This isn't the first time that Chicagoland's premier BMW dealer has gone to bat for local charities. For 40 years now, the dealership has been very active in giving back to the community. Motor Werks hosted and participated in numerous events and fundraisers in the past, benefiting community charities, organizations, and institutions.

On Tuesday, August 9, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Motor Werks BMW is hosting the Drive for a Cause event in Barrington. Food and refreshments will be served, and a representative from Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital will be on hand to join in the festivities. Those interested in registering for Drive for a Cause can do so by visiting the Motor Werks BMW registration site.

There will be another event at the hospital itself on Tuesday, August 23 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Those who attend this event will have the opportunity to test drive a BMW that will be provided by Motor Werks. Remember that every test drive mile generates $1 to support the Advocate Charitable Foundation; so the more miles, the more support you can provide!

Good Shepherd Hospital, part of Advocate Health Care, is the largest health system in the state, and one of the largest health care providers in the Midwest.  Advocate is a faith-based organization that exists to serve its communities.

One of Good Shepherd Hospital's programs and services that the Drive for a Cause campaign helps to support includes the ongoing campus enhancement and modernization project to bring enhanced surgical technology for surgeons to perform less-invasive procedures—resulting in less pain, scarring and a reduced risk of infection for patients, as well as a faster recovery time.  This advancement in robotic surgery will only be possible with the fulfillment of philanthropic funding.
