Follow on Google News | Toledo APICS Announces Execution and Control of Operations ClassThe Toledo Chapter of APICS, The Association for Operations Management, is proud to announce the offering of “Execution and Control of Operations” at the Betco Corporation training center in Toledo, Ohio.
By: APICS Toledo “Execution and Control of Operations” (ECO) encompasses the principles, approaches and techniques needed to schedule, control, measure, and evaluate the effectiveness of production operations. This module addresses a broad base of production operations in a variety of production environments including job shops, process plants, high-volume production facilities, and remanufacturing. It provides feedback about how well plans are being executed and provides information for customers and suppliers about the status of work in process (WIP). The importance and emphasis of the principles, approaches, and techniques covered in the module relate to the production environment, the labor environment, and the physical organization of the plant. The ECO module works through the 3 phases of execution and control – prioritize, execute and evaluate. Specific topics include: Scheduling Production and Process Operations Push and Pull Production Systems Communications to Customers and Suppliers Continuous Improvement and Quality Management Evaluation of Operations Performance The course will be led by Michael Bunge. Michael is the Manager of North American Supply at Libbey Incorporated where he is responsible for managing a global supply base to meets the needs of the company’s North American Distribution network.
