Star-Studded Gala for HeartShare

May 22, 2008 - PRLog -- It was a star-studded evening as HeartShare Human Services of New York celebrated its Annual Spring Gala and Auction at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square.  The Sopranos creator and executive producer David Chase joined James Gandolfini, Lorraine Bracco, Dominic Chianese, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Robert Iler, and other cast members were present to support honoree Tony Sirico.  Stars from All My Children were also on hand to honor their co-star Cameron Mathison.  HeartShare Board member Michael P. Kiley and General Manager of the Brooklyn Cyclones Steve Cohen also were honored.  

HeartShare Board member Rosanna Scotto attended between news broadcasts with Mike Woods and Nick Gregory of the Fox 5 News family.  Emmy winner and Board member Linda Dano, Board member Jim Kerr of Q-104.3 and actor and long-time supporter of HeartShare Danny Aiello attended as well.

“This year’s Gala was very successful and raised more than $630,000 for our programs,” said HeartShare President and CEO William R. Guarinello.  “It was an exciting evening with the cast members of The Sopranos, All My Children, and Fox 5 News in attendance.  We appreciate their support, along with those individuals and corporations who attended or made contributions.  The money raised will be used in our programs that assist thousands of New Yorkers every day.”

Celebrating its 94th year, HeartShare is a nonprofit organization that assists more than 17,000 New Yorkers.  Its wide spectrum of services provides counseling, after-school programs and assistance with foster care and adoption to children and families, supports people affected by HIV/AIDS, and administers energy assistance programs.  It also helps individuals with developmental disabilities through numerous programs including education services, adult day programs, residential services, case management, recreation programs, family support services, and health services.
