Parental Alienation Awareness Organization U.S. (PAAO-US) commemorated historical milestones, featuring such individuals as Mr. Ted Spear, highlighting the informative video, A View for the Bench, Ms. Shelli Ryan, producer of the suspense thriller, Jake’s Closet; Mr. Bryan McGlothin, author of a true story, Have You Seen My Mother; Mr. Jeff Opperman, presenting the Four Myths of Parental Alienation; and Ms. Robin Denison, educating on the behaviors involved in Parental Alienation. Mr. & Ms. Incredible were also on-site. State Directors, who previously obtained signed Governor proclamations, were gathered in Washington, D.C. Just across the street, in Upper Senate Park, were speakers, hosted by Mrs. Sheryl Hutter of R.A.D.A.R., who shared poignant life stories of the effects of Parental Alienation. It was through those words attesting to the pain that hearts ached, tears flowed, and comforting hugs embraced those being denied the right to bond with a family member who loves and misses them. This moving tribute was followed up with a memorable candle vigil led by Celeste Chappell-Bates of N.A.N.C.M. “The importance of the Family Preservation Festival is to unite people from the United States on the importance of our families’ civil rights as a positive step toward change and reunification,” For more information on DC Festival 2008 or Family Preservation, please visit: http://dcfestival2008.com # # # PAAO-US is stopping parental alienation across the United States. PAAO-US is an American organization comprised of alienated grandparents, fathers, mothers and children. While education of this emotional and physical form of abuse is extremely beneficial in our efforts to stop parental alienation across the United States, we understand that so much more is needed. All persons motivated and driven by their love for their own flesh and blood, have joined with, and are now supported by, many other family rights organizations to bring awareness to the truth of “how” and “why” this form of behavioral abuse happens, continues to happen, and is even seemingly encouraged right here in America which, ultimately denies good people their right to bond with their own family members.
