Indian Company Nivio, Awarded Wef’ Technology Pioneer For 2009

Innovation in affordable access to computing will be world changing, say global experts

Dec. 5, 2008 - PRLog -- Pune– The World Economic Forum (WEF) announced today that Nivio has been awarded the Technology Pioneer Award for 2009.  Nivio joins an elite group of visionary companies chosen for innovations which will have a world-changing impact on society and businesses. Previous Technology Pioneers Awardees which have today become multi-billion dollar organizations today include Google, Infosys, Mozilla Corporation and Nanosolar among others.

The two young entrepreneurs, Sachin Duggal, the 25 year old NRI & CEO of Nivio, and Saurabh Dhoot, 24, founded Nivio whilst both were studying Engineering at Imperial College, London. The idea got the excitement of angel investors within 4 years Nivio has been recognized as one of the most important current technologies in computing. Nivio will be joining global leaders at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland in January 2009 to discuss ways to maximize the penetration of computing across the world.
