Shah Rukh Khan & Karan Johar were voted as India's most famous friends

Shah Rukh Khan & Karan Johar were voted as the India's most famous friends in a survey conducted by BharatMatrimony on its portal as well as the social media.

Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar emerged as the celebrity most of them preferred to have as a friend, bagging 27.8% of the votes. Shah Rukh Khan (SRK) came a close second followed by Aamir Khan and Katrina Kaif in the survey in which over 16,000 members participated.

‘Yeh Dosti’ from the movie Sholay was voted as the most popular song about friendship while Jaane Tu and Dil Chahta Hai got the thumbs up as the most popular friendship movies with each bagging 39% of the votes.

Nearly 36% of the respondents said that chocolates were the ideal gift for Friendship Day followed by photo frames (22%). More than 25% of the respondents said that organising a get-together at home was the best way to celebrate Friendship Day. Going on a picnic came second.

When asked “which pair would you most like to see coming together again”, 39% of the respondents wanted Shah Rukh Khan & Salman Khan to patch up followed by Vinod Kambli & Sachin Tendulkar (23%).
