Feb. 25, 2009 - PRLog -- Despite opening during the country’s worst recession in decades, the lure of good food, friends, and affordable prices has Torcello Restaurant in Red Bank bustling with business.

Mike Bitici, famed restaurateur and original proprietor of The Grand Ticino in Greenwich Village, NYC, has brought style, flavor, and the pinnacle of Italian dining to the heart of Red Bank’s Broad Street with Torcello, an authentic New York City style Italian restaurant.

Torcello opened with a bang on Broad Street on December 16th.   According to Albert Bitici, son of Mike Bitici, “Valentines day was a complete success.  Our customers have been extremely pleased, and many of my father's regular customers have returned. The word is spreading fast which was evident as this past Saturday there was a line of people out the door waiting for tables!”

The local buzz extended all the way back to the Bitici’s hometown of New York, getting media coverage from the NY Times.

Guests were treated with selections of mouthwatering grilled whole calamari with cannellini beans, baked clams, homemade Gnocchi with cream of truffle and pecan sauce, Tilapia with Honey and Dates, New York strip steak with caramelized onions and dozens of other freshly prepared selections.

Torcello features a broad selection of appetizing lunch and dinner entrees, daily specials, and Prixe Fixe menu options to enjoy before or after a visit to one of Red Bank’s performing arts theaters.  The restaurant is also proud to be a BYOB, making an evening out to this stylish restaurant chic and affordable.
