PRLog -- Green Real Estate Education says their courses are for all agents and mortgage professionals. The company just launched their green building courses on line for real estate agents and mortgage professionals and will be teaching courses for the real estate industry at the GOGREEN EXPO in Philadelphia. "We have rearranged our schedule to accommodate this conference. There is a huge need for these professions to get this information for under $100 and we are excited to do this in a classroom setting." says Kerry Mitchell, President of Green Real Estate Education. "We will have energy saving tips, brochures and an energy rater talk with the students. The real estate industry needs market transformation and we are leading the country in our efforts to reaching these professionals."
Green Real Estate Education will give the green certification course and teach real estate agents in the morning session and green certify mortgage professionals in the afternoon session at the Philadelphia Convention Center. Students can register on line from their site. "Convenience is important for these professions today. Their own boards and associations are so challenged losing members and cannot always afford to open their meeting rooms for educational programs." states Mitchell. Some Mortgage Professionals and Real Estate Agents across the country have gotten second jobs as their income has fallen off in these tough economic times. In a survey taken, most homeowners want real estate and mortgage professionals to help them make informed decisions about their property for building future value. Mitchell continues, " If agents and mortgage professionals do not think this is important to the future of how they do business, they are misinformed. Their brokers should insist they get this training." The company says giving CFL's or other energy saving tips for closing is just one of the ideas the students take away form this training. In this slow times, it is difficult to find innovative ways for agents to get back out to their client base and Mitchell says this is a way to show the client how to save money. "Right now, some mortgage professionals are refinancing clients so we train on ideas for this sector as well." Mitchell says there are tax incentives for people to renovate green though most do not even know about these incentives and how to incorporate them into a loan.
The Executive Director of Green Real Estate Education, Robert Mitchell says, " Even with over 12 years of experience in the mortgage industry, originating loans in Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware, DC and Florida, I did not know these issues related to my profession."
He has been an instructor for the Greater Baltimore Board of Realtors and the Maryland Association of Mortgage Brokers and has taught mortgage concepts in real estate offices. Robert represented Maryland at the National Association of Mortgage Brokers meeting in Dallas, Texas in the late 1990’s. Robert has always promoted individual licensing and bonding for loan officers as well as strict adherence to continuing education. Bob authored Level One of the mortgage course series for Green Real Estate Education and is in the process of marketing and exposing this information to the 3 million plus who are involved in all aspects of the mortgage industry. " I am please to be offering this course in Pennsylvania."
