Lead Pastor of New Season Church, One of the Fastest Growing Churches in America - Begins Blog

March 6, 2009 - PRLog -- Steve Flockhart, Lead Pastor at New Season Church in Hiram, Georgia has started a blog that can be accessed at www.steveflockhart.com.  New Season Church started 55 weeks ago.  The church started with a core group of 40 people who dedicated their time and financial resources to something bigger than themselves, to bring something greater than themselves to Paulding County.  The facility was an old warehouse, that was completely renovated and professionally decorated to feel comfortable, like one's living room.  Since then, the church has really taken off with over 500 people attending weekly.  The church was quickly expanded with 200 new seats added the week of the One Year Anniversary Celebration in February.  Pastor Steve Flockhart, and everyone that has helped start this church could not be more pleased with the results after just one year.

And that's not all - New Season Church is making a huge difference in Paulding county – working with the City of Hiram to sponsor community festivals, such as the Hill Top Festival this summer in downtown Hiram.  They will also sponsor the city Easter Egg hunt at Ben Strickland Park in downtown Hiram in April.  At this 2-hour event, 12,000 eggs will be delivered – many dropped by helicopter the Saturday before Easter Sunday.  There will be food, games, music and other events in this carnival like event.  New Season Church will also be a sponsor of the community wide ‘City Makeover' this spring.  Last year hundreds were involved in beautifying the city by adding landscape and flower beds to all the community schools.  There was a huge parking lot party at Sam's Club attended by hundreds following the work day with entertainment and music provided by local churches that helped sponsor the event.  And New Season Church will again provide the largest fireworks show in the city this year for the Fourth of July.  They will work with the city to provide a huge event that was enjoyed by over a thousand people last year.  New Season Church has many additional community outreaches planned this year, and intends to continue to make a difference in Paulding County

Pastor Steve Flockhart is glad to be a part of the community and the City of Hiram, and is excited about all the opportunities we have this year to get involved and make a difference.  Not only are we showing the community that we are the church and we care, we are teaching hundreds of our members what it is to be the hands and feet of Jesus in our community, and how to reach out and make a difference.  Pastor Steve Flockhart is all about relationships, connecting with people – about reaching out, about making a difference and changing lives.  This is evident in the hundreds of lives that have been changed in the last year at New Season.
