Standox Adds Special Effect Basecoats

May 14, 2009 - PRLog -- Standox has added six special effect basecoats to its Standohyd  mixing scheme. “Magic Cyan”, “Midnight Blue”, “Paradise Green”, “Mystic Gold”, “Rainbow Silver” and “Sunset Red” mixing bases permit true-to-the-original repairs special-effect paintwork. Even rare OEM colors can be re-created quickly, efficiently and economically thanks to the special effect pigments used. This is good news for bodyshops confronted with exotic vehicles or unusual colors.

The new Standohyd (http://standox.com/standohyd) special effect basecoats enable the professional repair of the special OEM shades which are increasingly found on modern vehicles. The mixing bases give a perfect basecoat even on spectacular flip-tones, and are easy to apply with stunning impact and high opacity. Standox Color Tools    now show all the shades currently available.

The new paints can be used with the existing mixing scheme but are not a standard part of the Standox mixing system. They can either be ordered in convenient half-litre cans, or as part of a ready-mixed color from specialist distributors. This means that the bodyshops do not always have to stock these sometimes rarely used mixing bases, but still get the full benefit.
