May 21, 2009 - PRLog -- The affectionately charming plot of this musical may be old fashioned, but is still lovable in its simplicity.

Plays: Wednesday May 27th  -  Sunday June 14th

The story  revolves around an out-of-work dance team, a sister and brother who find both money and romance while entertaining in the homes of the very wealthy.
Two winsome siblings, Dick and Susie Trevor, are kicked out of their posh digs for serial unpaid rent and start attending cocktail parties for food.
Dick proposes to wealthy socialite Josephine Vanderwater, while Susie tries to pass herself off as a Mexican widow to lay hands on big bucks. Add in a Mexican gangster, a  shyster lawyer and a presumed dead millionaire, and you have the story.
And with four loving – and singing and dancing – couples, you have an all-star octet.

A comedy farce with leading roles designed for the Astaires, LADY, BE GOOD! was created by Guy Bolton and Fred Thompson in keeping with Adele's comedic flare and Fred's guise of sophisticated straight man.  In this production the Fred Aistaire role will be recreated by John Jacob Lee, who will be joined on stage by, Matty Price, a veteran of the Surflight Stage back from his debut on Broadway in Gypsy at the St James Theatre!

LADY, BE GOOD! marked George and Ira Gershwin's first complete score to be produced on Broadway. Marching into the jazz-age, the show featured such adventurous and jazzy numbers as the hit "Fascinating Rhythm," "Little Jazz Bird," "So Am I, "I'd Rather Charleston," and "Lady, Be Good." an extremely catchy score brimming with wit and charm.
Opening at the Liberty Theatre in Manhattan in December of 1924, the show enjoyed a ten-month run of 330 performances,

This energetic, toe-tapping revival will be directed by Sutflight’s producing Artistic Director – Steve Steiner, and choreographed by Paula Hammons Sloan.
