Misumi Enhances Canadian Customer Care Program

Aug. 19, 2009 - PRLog -- Schaumburg, IL- Misumi USA, Inc., a subsidiary of Misumi Corporation, part of Misumi Group, Inc. (TOKYO: 9962) , announces a major enhancement to the Canadian Customer Care (CCC) Program intended to save Canadian customers on brokerage fees associated with US to Canada shipments.

MISUMI will further enhance the program by bearing the cost of duties charged by Canadian Customs for all orders placed on or after August 24, 2009.  Misumi will additionally bear the cost of the brokerage fees associated with importing goods into Canada, which is currently a flat rate of $4.90.

According to Masanori Suzuki, President of Misumi USA, "due to the successful implementation of the CCC program in late 2007, we have seen a significant growth in business from our Canadian customers to justify further enhancements to this program.  In addition, we have been monitoring our business in Central and South America and are reviewing a similar program to implement at a future date when sales volumes merit such action."  Additional savings come in the form of simplifying the administrative overhead for the customer.  The CCC program allows the customer to receive one invoice from MISUMI for product, shipping charges and taxes.

To participate in the CCC Program; customers are required to specify “ship prepay and add” when ordering.

In summary:  

•No cost to the customer: MISUMI will pay the Canadian Customs Duties and brokerage fees.    
•How to take advantage of this offer: The customer should specify “Ship prepay and add” for their shipments via UPS ground, next day or second day air. Please note this offer does not apply when the customer ships collect or third party bill.
•Please note:  Misumi will bear the costs of customs duties and brokerage fees. Tax and freight charges will continue to be invoiced.  
•Effective date:  This program will take effect for all orders shipping to Canada placed on or after August 24, 2009.
