Nov. 30, 2009 - PRLog -- (Des Moines, IA)—A new day has dawned in Hip Hop and the sun is shining brightly in Iowa as one of the pioneers of the Dirty South sound expands his vision to create opportunities for underexposed independent artists in previously overlooked areas of the nation.  Peter “K’ottic” Trotter has long been making moves in the music industry having gotten his start collaborating with Carlos Stephens of No Limit Records fame.  Throughout his career he has worked with artists of the highest caliber but has found the most satisfaction working with lesser known artists and watching them develop.  Growing up in the same gritty New Orleans streets as artists like Lil’ Wayne, Mannie Fresh, Juvenile, Master P he, like each of them, has used music as a springboard to create change in his own life and having seen the Hip Hop industry from the inside, he has developed a passion for the real.  Now, he has formed NBM Entertainment, a musician’s collective, and is doing what it takes to make real music with real musicians for fans looking for real Hip Hop.

As the first order of business, K’ottic has signed several new acts to NBM Entertainment and has begun production on various projects at Nu Breed Studios where together they are cranking out some of the highest quality sounds in the tri-state area.  The NBM Entertainment roster now includes rappers Codebluu, Zay of Tha Arson Squad, Tha Dean and Bigg Plugg.   Each of the artists were selected for their unique style but the most important characteristic that they all share is a strong work ethic and an understanding that there is strength in numbers and by coming together they can create greater reach and build stronger alliances for the entire team.  As a first effort Tha South and  Midwest Connection, Vol. 1 was released in early 2009 and the company will cap off the year with the release of K’ottic’s EP, Losing My Mind along with Codebluu’s EP, Midwest Muzik slated for December 22.  The company will usher in 2010 with additional releases from all artists on the label including the collaborative effort, Tha South and Midwest Connection, Vol. 2 as well as various solo projects to be announced later in the year.
