The Silver Star Families Of America Announces Announces New National President

Dec. 1, 2009 - PRLog -- The Silver Star Families of America is pleased to announce their new National President, Sunshine Roth. She is an essential part of the organization, overseeing various committees, encouraging state, city and county officials to participate in Silver Star Service Banner Day and making sure her state of Illinois is involved in the great mission she loves, honoring wounded, ill and dying Veterans.



Sunshine lives in the NW suburbs of Chicagoland. Her husband, Jay, is one of our wounded Vietnam Veterans.  They have been married for over thirty-six years, with three children and eight grandchildren. Sunshine suffers from Parkinson’s but has managed to turn it into a positive experience.



Sunshine is the daughter of a Holocaust Survivor from WWII, is involved in a PTS support groups and has her own prayer group and virtual candle lighting sight. Her goal is for people to recognize and understand PTS as an invisible wound. Her desire is to honor wounded, ill and dying Veterans of our country and do what she can to see that America never forgets "Our Kids” no matter what age.
