Dec. 3, 2009 - PRLog -- NBM Entertainment has put together a stellar list of up and coming independent artists for its 2010 roster.  Behind each project is a person with a story and as fans get to know the music they will have the opportunity to get to know the artists.

NBM Entertainment presents Christopher "Bigg Plugg" Conner...

Christopher “Bigg Plugg” Conner is no stranger to adversity nor to the streets.  Losing his father at the age of six was the beginning of both the disintegration of his life at home and the birth of his life on the streets of Chicago.  After his father passed away his mother was left with the task of raising he and his sister alone and it proved to be a difficult job with miscommunication at the center of their problems.  By the time he was a teenager it had become impossible for he and his mother to see eye to eye and she threw him out of the house with nothing.  It was then that his will to survive kicked in and he turned to the only option he could see to make it and in return the streets showed him everything; drugs, gang violence, money and women and it was there that he earned the nickname, “The Plugg”.  But, it was also the place where he witnessed the death of his close friend, Julian Bell, causing him to question where his own future was headed.

By the time he was twenty years old Bigg Plugg had seen or been a part of all that the streets had to offer and the life had exposed itself for what it was, a dead end.  He started working his way into a legitimate lifestyle by enrolling at John A. Logan College and entering the football program.  Just as he was about to transfer to Southern Illinois University he had to have surgery which derailed his plans causing him to turn once again to the streets until friends who had moved to Iowa offered him the opportunity to change his life for good and he took it without hesitation.

The quieter life in Iowa was the beginning of the next chapter in Bigg Plugg’s life.  It was there that he recalled his love for music and drew from the days as a kid when he would make music for his sister.  It was also in Iowa that he started a family and his daughter became the strongest motivation he ever had for getting his life on a path towards lasting success.   The new plan centered around making money while making music so he reached out to some old connections and started rapping with Paper Chasers.  While it was a good way to get back to music, that relationship did not turn out to be meant for long term success.  Undaunted by the setback, Bigg Plugg kept networking and eventually met and began collaborating with “Tha Dean”.  Together the two of them honed their skills and began opening for headlining artists such as OJ tha Juice Man and Twista and continued seeking the right connections to go to the next level.  That search led them to NBM Entertainment where they are working with Peter “K’ottic” Trotter to release their music to the masses.

Last month NBM Entertainment annuounced part of its strategic plan for the coming year kicking of with its first release on December 22, 2009 and IS working closely with noted Publicist and Strategic Marketing Consultant, Nicole Murray, to develop initiatives that will propel the NBM Entertainment brand and the brands of each of its artists into greater marketshare.
