Jan. 22, 2010 - PRLog -- (New York,) - Empire Facilities and Project Management, one of the New York area’s most innovative building management companies, today announced the results of a landmark year of growth for the company in 2009, with further expansion planned into the first half of 2010. Empire’s ala carte business services and attention to detail have quickly become the reason for the brand’s expanded opportunities in a marketplace which continues to adapt to the challenging economic climate most landlords and property managers are still experiencing.

“We were very pleased with the expansion we had into other geographic regions in 2009, and are confident now more than ever that our unique business model, which offers services tailored to clients’ needs and a strict attention to detail no matter where the project is, will be the most successful building management model for the future,”  said COO Charles Guigno.  “Even with budgets being held tighter than ever, quality service is still expected, and that’s what we have been able to achieve…solid results that match the budgets and time constraints of all our clients.”

Among the highlights for the 2009 calendar year were projects from Florida to California, as well as the extension of several long-term high level contracts in the New York area.

The list included:

•   The expansion of high level management contracts in Manhattan, including: 408 Greenwich St, Tribeca  – a mixed use hi-end condominium; retail; commercial and residential property, The NBA Players Association Building in Harlem, and 747 Amsterdam Ave. in Upper Manhattan.
•   The successful completion, under a tight schedule, of a total rehabilitation (including life safety; environmental; new computer labs; state of the art classrooms and various infra-structure upgrades) of a former unused school building, transforming the property into a state of the art private school in Brooklyn.
•   The complete rehabilitation of an apartment complex for a major national real estate organization in Tampa, Florida.
•   The successful completion of extensive emergency repairs, including major plumbing and logistical changes, for a national retail client in Los Angeles, California.
•   The selection as construction manager for all Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s local campaign offices throughout the five boroughs of New York.
•   The completion of all facility housekeeping and maintenance services for existing clients, including Forbes Inc. and D.W. Haber & Sons. The Haber project included the installation of a new HVAC and control system for their administrative and executive offices and at their facility in The Bronx.

At the conclusion of 2009 EFPM was also awarded the project to construct the New York City corporate offices for WQIS, an industry leader in marine pollution, boat and cargo insurance.  That project will be one of the growth cornerstones the company will point to as 2010 unfolds.

EFPM is also laying out additional innovative services for clients, including increasing its platform to maximize the ever-growing lucrative area of rooftop management. Additional new contacts are expected to be announced as the first half of the year unfolds.
