Cook & Schmid Hires Grant Goad As Director Of Interactive Media

March 8, 2010 - PRLog -- SAN DIEGO, Calif.—Cook & Schmid, a San Diego-based public relations, advertising and marketing firm, has hired Grant Goad as director of interactive media. He is a 15-year media and entertainment industry professional.

As director of interactive media, Grant manages Cook & Schmid’s digital and new media strategies, integrating them with traditional campaigns to extend clients’ reach across platforms and into multicultural environments.  

Grant brings his extensive experience with Web site development, video for the Web and other channels, social media and mobile device applications to amplify client footprints and engage new stakeholders while remaining consistent with overall marketing goals.

He brings an impressive network of media specialists and partners, both in the U.S. and Latin America, expanding  Cook & Schmid’s ability to implement high-impact, cost-effective new media programs as stand-alone projects or as components of an integrated marketing campaign.

Prior to joining Cook & Schmid, Grant was the managing partner of Agave Mobile, a full-service mobile marketing firm specializing in interactive technologies such as SMS, WAP, and mobile application development.

In 2004, he co-founded the first bilingual Latin music digital download service, MisRolas.com, and as the company's CEO oversaw its funding and launch in the U.S. and Mexico. During his tenure he signed licensing agreements with numerous music labels and content aggregators, and ran successful promotional campaigns with major consumer brands such as Hershey's, SonyStyle, and Café Ole/Sigma Alimentos.

Grant previously worked in the music industry, where he directed productions for chart-topping Latin artists and worked for labels such as EMI, Universal and Sony.  He earned his B.A. in Latin American Studies from the University of California at Santa Cruz, and is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
