Tragic Fire and Loss Forces Wardell to Delay Ballot Registration.

March 15, 2010 - PRLog -- Today’s tragic fire in Springfield hit close to my family’s heart. One of our employees woke up to his house on fire. In the fire, he lost all three of his children and his father-in-law is in intensive care.Because of this tragedy, I am postponing my trip to Jefferson City for a few days to be there for the family during this tough time. Nicole and I will be attending the funerals of the children, later this week.

I planned to register for the Republican primary on Wednesday, and I will be putting that off for a few days, so my wife and I can help this family in their time of grief.

Donations can be made by going to any Commerce Bank and giving money to the "Victims of the Olive St. Fire in Springfield."

Kathy Coley of Commerce Banks' Springfield Southwest Banking Center is the Point of Contact and help set up the fund.

She can be reached at 417-837-5473.
