Cornelius Youth Orchestras to Perform Special Spring Concert at Bailey Middle School

April 26, 2010 - PRLog -- The Cornelius Youth Orchestras will be performing a joint concert with The Lake Norman Big Band on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at Bailey Middle School in the Cafetorium located at 11900 Bailey Road, Cornelius, NC.  The concert will be held from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm.  

This family-friendly event is free to the public, so mark your calendars for a fun-filled evening of excellent live entertainment.  Hear the Cornelius Youth Orchestras performing fun filled “movie theme” selections as well as classical and more contemporary compositions.  The Lake Norman Big Band wil be performing selections of Big Band era, jazz and blues compositions.  The concert will conclude with a finale of both the Cornelius Youth Orchestras and The Lake Norman Big Band performing jazz selections.

Cornelius Youth Orchestras is a non-profit musical organization dedicated to providing cultural enrichment, musical instruction and unique performance opportunities for local youth through a specialized orchestral program. Currently under the direction of Eduardo Cedeño and Bill Haraden, the CYO offers multiple levels of group instrumental instruction for beginning to advanced youth musicians, performing community events on a regular basis each year.
