Auntie’s Bookstore Hosts Author Lee Kessler’s Talk - “Gen Y-the New Hero Generation” June 8

June 4, 2010 - PRLog -- Spokane, WA — Lee Kessler, Montana resident, actress and author of "White King and the Doctor" and "White King Rising," discusses at her upcoming book signing how our young adults, often referred to as Millennials, are ready and willing to work hard to reach goals that will fulfill them personally and professionally. Kessler is scheduled to be at Auntie’s in Spokane, Washington, June 8th from 7:00–8:30pm. Auntie’s Bookstore is located at 402 West Main Avenue.

“In discussing 'White King Rising' with audiences of all ages, I confirmed what I knew to be true—many young adults today are wrongfully tagged as the ‘Trophy Generation’ just because they grew up on sports teams where everyone got a trophy,” said Kessler. “As an actress and writer my style is to both educate and entertain.  The topics at my book signings get the audience involved in the story and part of the action, and the discussions that follow are always lively. It’s exciting to be around people who enjoy reading and who voice their opinions.”

"White King and the Doctor" and "White King Rising" are two fact-based fiction novels concerning terrorism domestic and international. In the "White King" series Kessler lays out a scenario showing how the media has been unwittingly used by terrorists, thus making the Fourth Estate (the media) a Fifth Column—a group working from within to further an enemy's military and political aims—to bring down the United States.

Readers follow two young heroes and ex-CIA analyst as they fight to enlighten the “Establishment” to how “the Doctor” is using America’s freedoms and values to undermine its citizens. Andy Weir, Grandmaster chess champion, together with Brian Washington Carver, a star collegiate football player and computer gamer, work out a plan to stop Ayman Al-Zawahiri, the true master of international terrorism, from triggering his doomsday scenario against the United States—set to launch June 30, 2011.  Their plan’s success depends on what video gamers do best – play to win.
