Shockingly Speedy Software - LDS launch enhanced Kurtosis Parameter Control application

June 9, 2010 - PRLog -- LDS - part of the Brüel & Kjær group since November 2008 - created this software for use with its Laser USB™ Vibration Controller. The Random Vibration Control Software improves laboratory simulation of real-life vibration when testing automobile components, including suspension systems, DVD players, radios, dash boards, roof racks or GPS systems.

This new version extends the kurtosis control capabilities offered to its Laser USB customers, allowing an even wider range of test simulations of real world vibration environments, such as rough highways or off-road travel.

The software also provides an on-line probability density function plot (or histogram), a recording of the instantaneous K value using a user defined time resolution and an on-line readout for the target K value, making it easier to monitor and document tests.

Laser USB Vibration Controllers operate via a USB 2.0 connection, which is now included by all major PC makers due to the faster system speed and user friendliness, allowing engineers to carry out all manner of tests, such as random shock and vibration testing analysis, swept sine, resonance dwell, classical shock and sine on random, shock SRS and field data replication.

Created especially for Research and Design teams- and production environments - LDS’ Laser USB Vibration Controllers are multi-tasking systems with a control loop that works independently from the user’s PC, so they can analyse data, arrange test reports and transmit all the information via email.
