June 29, 2010 - PRLog -- Tisha Howard is exploding as an authentic Do-It-Yourself Artist from Virginia with all the right links! Her singing and songwriting talents were brought to the attention of George Sly Moore, Producer & CEO at music production company Jambeat Entertainment located in Chesapeake, Virginia, who offered to produce her songs. Instead of looking for a major label to release the recordings, Moore retained David Bean of BeanBag1 Entertainment, a consulting company specializing in Do-It-Yourself (DIY) Artists, to consult with Jambeat on self-releasing the music. The first song was the sizzling single "You Are" and both writer/performer Tisha Howard and producer George Moore worked tirelessly with their team to promote and market the track themselves online and offline, including concert appearances. The top-rated Urban music station in Norfolk, WOWI FM, a Clear Channel affiliate, began playing the Do-It-Yourself released song and downloads started selling through Tunecore affiliates. This impressive DIY success, using a blend of old media and new media, was noticed by major labels, resulting in the artist and producer both signing with Universal/Republic.

Tisha's DIY R&B scorcher "You Are" has become one of the most requested breakthrough singles at Norfolk, Virginia, radio station 103 JAMZ/WOWI."Tisha is a refreshing breath of fresh air! The voice of an angel and solid production, this one can't miss!" proclaimed DJ Law, Host of the Boodah Brothers Morning Show and Program Director at 103 JAMZ. The song is also on the air from WNSB HOT 91.1 FM in Norfolk, to Mediabase reporting station KTCX in Beaumont, Texas, and spreading.

Jambeat Entertainment registered the song with music industry digital
tracking services such as Mediabase for radio spins, as well as placing it
into retail digital download sites through Tunecore. The metrics from these
services started showing an immediate spike in spins and sales for "You
Are." Major labels noticed this developing music industry success by an
unknown DIY artist and Tisha Howard ultimately signed with
Universal/Republic, as did producer George Moore. Moore stated his belief
that they had successfully launched the song as a DIY project and now major
distribution was better equipped to take it further.

Tisha described her relationship with Universal Republic Records as "a
once-in-a-lifetime opportunity." She continued, "Getting the chance to make
music and partner with a great record company like Universal Republic is a
dream come true. I'm thrilled to be part of the Universal family." Tisha has
written several songs, such as a rousing break-up offering titled "Red
Light," that will most likely be included on her debut album scheduled for
release later in the year.
