Follow on Google News | Willie, a Homeless Kitten, Recovers from AbuseAn abused kitten is saved thanks to the caring staff and supporters of Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter in East Hanover, NJ.
By: Suzanne Griffin Willie was abandoned outside at the facility one sweltering summer evening without food or water. Fortunately, the night crew found him before it was too late. The Mt. Pleasant staff took him into their care and arranged the intensive medical treatment he needed to survive. Removal of his eye, damaged from severe trauma, was one of the procedures he underwent. He is healing well and has become a sweet and affectionate kitten who will be available for adoption after he makes a full recovery. Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter prides itself on providing exceptional care for all homeless animals that enter it's doors. Surgery and medications to save lives costs thousands of dollars annually.
