July 18, 2010 - PRLog -- Willie, a five week old kitten, is on the road to recovery from abuse, thanks to the dedication and care of the Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter staff and volunteers.

Willie was abandoned outside at the facility one sweltering summer evening without food or water.  Fortunately, the night crew found him before it was too late.  The Mt. Pleasant staff took him into their care and arranged the intensive medical treatment he needed to survive.  Removal of his eye, damaged from severe trauma, was one of the procedures he underwent.  He is healing well and has become a sweet and affectionate kitten who will be available for adoption after he makes a full recovery.

Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter prides itself on providing exceptional care for all homeless animals that enter it's doors. Surgery and medications to save lives costs thousands of dollars annually.   Contributions towards care for animals like Willie are always appreciated.  Donations may be made securely online at www.njshelter.org or sent to Mt.
