During this reading, I will also make an announcement regarding one of my projects.” In “Five Years and Counting,” Marrouat regrouped five years of her poetry and arranged the pieces according to life's most important stages: birth and childhood, teenage years, adulthood, and elevation. This last stage represents man's understanding and realization of the ultimate fulfilment in life.
