This free community initiative offers an exciting day filled with entertainment, sports, cultural activities and so much more. The stylish team of ADG barbers will be on hand rolling up their sleeves and firing up the grill to honor its loyal customers, team members and community partners this Sunday, August 29, 2010 from 12:00pm – 6:00pm at Staten Island’s picturesque Midland Beach.

ADG Family Appreciation Day was initially designed in 2001 as an “Employee Cookout” for 10 of its employees and guests. With a steadfast commitment to delivering outstanding quality, value and superior guest services, ADG customer base and loyalty increased. Just nine year’s later, the annual event reported attendance of over 800 attendees and this year is projected to welcome over 1,200 guests. “We pride ourselves in providing outstanding quality services and value to our team members, customers and community. ADG Family Appreciation Day will feature a day of fun filled activities and entertainment for all ages including:

12:00pm   Entertainment, a full day of artist showcases that includes a “rap off”, live band, poetry, and much more

1:00pm   ADG Baseball Exhibition Game, Victory Blvd vs. Castleton Avenue

2:00pm   The Kids Zone, providing face painting, arts and crafts, clowns and more

3:00pm   The Annual Pull-Ups Contest

3:30pm   Sports, longstanding basketball team rivals Ed Watkins “Rising Stars” and Darrel Gray’s “Above and Beyond take it to the paint earring a full year of bragging rights

4:00pm   Skateboarding Half-Time Skate Out, Shaolin’s very own pro skater Brian Saul will be providing  Freestyle, Manual and Flip trick demonstrations
