Follow on Google News | Nimlok supports the Andrew Grene Foundation by eating cakes!Staff, friends and family all contributed in baking cakes that were to be sold at Nimlok’s head office today to raise money for the Andrew Grene Foundation.
The Andrew Grene Foundation is close to the hearts of the Nimlok staff as the Managing Director of the Wellingborough based exhibition and display stand solutions company Nimlok, Tim Perutz, lost his closest friend in the Haiti earthquake. He, along with Andrew’s twin brother Gregory, set up the Andrew Grene Foundation in memory of their special brother and friend that was Andrew. Tim and Gregory recently went on a trip to Haiti to investigate where they could spend the money that has been raised so far. Tim’s colleagues at Nimlok were keen to hear about his trip and enjoyed a slide show presentation from Tim showing photos from his trip and a question and answer session afterwards. Staff were so moved by the photos and hearing about Tim’s experiences over there, they wanted to help to. Allison Evans, an employee at Nimlok, commented; “After Tim’s talk and the photo’s we saw of Haiti, we felt inspired to do something to help so we are suggesting a ‘Big Push’ for the month with four events planned, one each week, for the Nimlok staff to participate in and donate all of the funds to the Andrew Grene Foundation”. The next event takes place on Friday 3rd September and is titled ‘Saucy Sausage Friday’! Watch this space for the story after the event has taken place. # # # The Andrew Grene Foundation is a charity dedicated to providing aid direct to the people of Haiti. Funds are allocated to the education of Haitian children and to the microfinancing of small-scale Haitian businesses. End
