What Should be in Your Closet for Fall?

LamanBlu recaps the current trends for the Fall/Holiday 2010 Season for consumers.

Aug. 31, 2010 - PRLog -- It's that time of year. The kids are finally heading back to school and everyone wants to know what are the must have items for their wardrobe.

Top Trends for the season:
Fabulous Faux Fur!  Hats, capes, skirts, boots and purses!
The Nouveau Minimalist – easy, comfort driven separates associated with classic American sportswear.
Mosaic – a record of the past, reinvented for the future.
Reflection – reflecting on ourselves as we are and as we want to be – inner lit colors of pale pinks and blues balanced by not quite navy and deep purples accented with bronze.
Exotic – traveling to other lands and other cultures for inspiration – eye catching bright colors in a kaleidoscope array.
Avani – connection to each other and to our earth.  Eco-friendly design.  Elemental, color washed tones of the sky at dusk and the pinks of sunrise.

LamanBlu does a lot of trend forecasting (and trend watching). It's a holdover from designer Holli Gibson's long career working with many of the major retailers. They released their Fall/Holiday 2010 Trend report about 9 months ago to retail customers. As  the trends have developed on the major runways of the world, "We've been gratified that we got it right - picked the right trends to pursue and add our own LamanBlu twist to", says Gibson.

LamanBlu is an eco-friendly designer collection for little girls, ages 6 months to 6 years.  LamanBlu is a celebration of childhood, and parenthood. LamanBlu believes that little girls should be dressed beautifully, because each one is a princess at heart (even when she’s climbing trees).  The LamanBlu collection is styled to celebrate every day, because to a child, every day is a special occasion.   Every piece in the collection is wash and wear tested by real moms and real kids, so that consumers know the pieces they're buying for their child’s wardrobe will withstand the rigors of a child’s day and the ease a mom needs of washer friendly, dryer friendly and no iron clothing for their children.  LamanBlu offers mix and match separates and dresses so that children can express their own individual style.  LamanBlu is available in boutique stores across the country, or by special request direct to LamanBlu if no retailer is available in a consumer's area.  Dresses range from $68 to $90 and separates range from $38 for swing t’s and leggings to $84 for the custom ombre dyed bustle jacket.  Select styles are available in mother/daughter looks.

Holli Gibson, the designer for LamanBlu, established her career as a designer in the 90’s, designing sportswear and dresses for many high profile private clients as well as major high end retailers, including Nordstrom’s, Neiman Marcus and Victoria’s Secret.  After taking a time to start a family of her own, Gibson has re-entered the fashion world, this time with her focus on children.  She is also the recent recipient of the Rising Star Award for Design from Fashion Group International.
