This latest tool, Segment-O-Matic, can save nonprofit organizations time and money as well as helping them raise more dollars with access to better donor data. Prior to Segment-O-Matic, fundraisers conducting recency, frequency and monetary value (RFM) analysis had to pull individual queries from the system. The process of configuring and running 60 or more queries could take hours or days. Segment- “Segment-O- Segment-O-Matic allows users to: • Segment donors for a visual breakdown of donor activity. • Select individual segments or blocks of segments with a click and drag. • Enter per-unit costs to keep a running tally of expenses. • Output information to HTML or Excel. • Assign a constituent appeal and package to constituents in selected segments. Around the world, more than 22,000 nonprofits use Raiser’s Edge or Financial Edge, including SOS Children’s Villages, which is already anticipating savings with Segment O-Matic.
