Elgia, Inc. Donates Artwork to Grady Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic

Sept. 3, 2010 - PRLog -- ATLANTA, GA – In its continued efforts to give back and be a valued member of the community, Alpharetta, GA-based Elgia, Inc. provided the Grady Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic with hand painted artwork to display on their wall. The picture was painted as part of a company-wide initiative to service and was started at the company’s holiday party and later completed in the office by numerous employees.

The piece will be on display on the 3rd floor of Piedmont Hall for the children of this department to enjoy as they seek and receive treatment. The artwork provides a bright and sunny escape from an otherwise tough situation that the children face.

Elgia CEO Stacey Scott commented on the project: “A goal of mine when starting my company was always to be able to give back to the community and to provide for a better place for everybody. I learned of the hospital art program while I was part of the Georgia Mentor-Protégé Program where we donated art to Grady Hospital. After seeing the happiness this put on the patients' faces, I knew that Elgia had to be a part of this; I was more than happy to pass this idea along to my team as it really means a lot to us and our culture. I know that the artwork we have donated to this clinic will make a brighter and happier environment for the children there, and I look forward to donating more in the future.”
