The Habersham Y Goes Pink and Gives Back with ZUMBA in the PARKing Lot

Oct. 13, 2010 - PRLog -- SAVANNAH, GA - On Monday, October 25, the Habersham Branch of the YMCA of Coastal Georgia is going pink.  A day long celebration of pink in recognition of Breast Cancer Month will wind up with “Zumba in the PARK ----- ing Lot” at 4:30 p.m.

A $10 donation is encouraged to Zumba, which will go to the Telfair Pavilion Mammography Fund, helping to educate the community on breast cancer screenings for early detection and taking  the mobile mammography “Screen Machine” where it is needed for on-site screenings.

Dede Roberts, Fitness and Aquatics Director of the Habersham YMCA, said “The Y Goes Pink provides an exciting opportunity for us to give back to the community that helps to sustain us.”

The Zumba fun on Monday, Oct. 25th  is open to YMCA members and non-members of all ages and fitness levels, and parents are encouraged to bring their children along.   For more information, please contact the Habersham YMCA at 912- 354-6223.
