The press conference will include activists on many different fronts in human rights issues. The theme of this year's Human Rights Day press conference will be "Compassion and Human Rights." We believe that increased compassion for our fellow human beings is one of the answers to improving the state of human rights for all people around the world. On the December 9 press conference, we will have speakers on issues in the United States, Pakistan, China, Sudan, and other global issues of importance to all human beings, as well as women's rights. We will be addressing the need to stop oppression of those based on their beliefs and religious views. We will also have a speaker on the cruel practice of stoning. R.E.A.L. is a volunteer, non-partisan human rights activist group, whose focus is the shared support of our universal human rights of equality and liberty for all human beings.
