Festool's innovative RO 90 DX Rotex Sander has many new options for the woodworker's sanding needs

Jan. 20, 2011 - PRLog -- Festool's line of Rotex sanders just got a new addition: the RO-90 DX compact multi-mode sander is now available for pre-purchase at Highland Woodworking, and is scheduled for delivery on March 1, 2011.  As with all Festool products, the newest Rotex Sander was developed with the goal of being the best in its class.

The powerful RO 90 DX Rotex sander contains many useful features, including Multi-Mode Functionality, the incidental contact-avoiding Edge Protector seen on other Rotex models, and the easily transferable round and delta-shaped sanding pad options.

The Multi-Mode Functionality allows this Rotex sander to easily switch between an aggressive, gear-driven mode suitable for efficiently taking off many layers of paint or varnish, and a random orbital mode for finish sanding. There is also a polishing mode for use with one of the many polishing pad options available. The RO 90 DX sander is generously powered by a 1/2 HP motor.

Switching between the two sanding pad shape options (round and delta-shaped) is a simple process, requiring no tools and only a few seconds. The RO 90 DX Rotex sander is the only Festool Rotex sander model with the StickFix V93 Delta Sanding Pad.

Weighing in at only 3.3 lbs (1.5 kg), the versatile RO 90 DX Rotex sander provides a good mix of power and ease of use, while offering a multitude of options for any sanding project.
