Mid America Motorworks opens Man Cruise to all Corvette owners

March 2, 2011 - PRLog -- Effingham, Ill. – Man Cruise originated in 2008 when the Looking Glass Corvette Club planned a guys and Vettes day while their wives had a shopping day. In the spirit of the man-car connection, Mid America Motorworks has added Man Cruse to the 2011 public calendar. All Corvette owners are invited to Mid America Motorworks' corporate campus on Saturday, May 14 to celebrate a day of America's sports car.

Man Cruise kicks off with a welcome from Chief Cheerleader Mike Yager. A full morning of activities follows, including tours of the corporate campus, Corvette seminars and a lunch fit for a man's appetite served in partnership with a local bar and grill, The Foxx's Den. An afternoon Show and Shine gives attendees a chance to show off their rides, with one lucky Corvette owner winning "Mike's Pick," a special award given by Mike Yager. The Mike's Pick winner will receive a professional photography session with Mid America Motorworks' in-house photographer.

A "Man Card Ceremony" rounds out the day. The "Man Card Ceremony" is a tradition of Man Cruise, in which all attendees receive man cards for their participation. The ceremony is sponsored by the Foxx's Den and will be at their location, just ½ mile from Mid America Motorworks. Registration is $20 per person, which includes lunch and an event t-shirt.
