By: Gloria Grehl, DTM, VP PR, Vista Toastmasters Orange County Government proclaimed April 24 – 30, 2011 as Toastmasters Awareness Week. The City of Orlando has declared April 24, 2011 as Toastmasters Awareness Day. In recognition of the above, Vista Toastmasters is inviting the community to a Special Open House meeting. Special guest speaker Paul Noor, ACB, who overcame a stuttering challenge to become a champion speaker, will be presenting his speech, “From Stuttering to Public Speaking”. Refreshments and networking begin at 6:30 PM. The meeting begins promptly at 7 PM until 8:30 PM. Admission is free. To give back to the community, Vista is encouraging all guests to please bring a non-perishable food item. The critical Central Florida hunger problem was recently featured on CBS News’ “60 Minutes” on March 6, 2011. All donations received tonight will be delivered to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida. All are invited to witness what more than 4 million people since 1924 have benefited from by membership in Toastmasters International. Learn how to develop your communication and leadership skills!
