Vista Toastmasters Club Announces Speech Contest Winners

Aug. 30, 2011 - PRLog -- On August 18, Vista Toastmasters Southwest Orlando showcased their members’ entertaining speaking skills by holding their Humorous Speech Contest. In addition, the club held their Evaluation Contest, where evaluation and assessment skills are judged. Each contestant provides their own insightful commentary and recommendations to a test speaker.

Allyse Scott won 1st Place in the Humorous Speech Contest, while Ana Bustillos won 2nd Place. In the Evaluation Contest, Lyn Porpora gained the 1st Place trophy, while Robin Daniels followed in 2nd Place.

Both Allyse Scott and Lyn Porpora now advance to the next level of competition, the Area Contest, being held on September 10 in Orlando. The  Humorous Speech and Evaluation Contests proceed up to District level in North and Central Florida. Final contestants will compete at the District Conference in Daytona Beach in November.
