Singer Jay Scott Berry's Artistry Takes Classic Song To Charts & Airwaves Again

April 15, 2011 - PRLog -- Los Angeles, CA --- “Please Come To Boston,” the Grammy nominated song from the ’70’s, has been given new life with the artistry of singer Jay Scott Berry. Taken from Berry’s Keepsake CD, the song is once again racing across the airwaves and up the charts.

According to the April 15 issue of New Music Weekly, a prominent music industry trade publication,   “Please Come To Boston” hit # 47 this week, rising 17 positions on the competitive Hot 100 (a combination of all formats). Jay Scott Berry was above such artists as the veteran Eric Clapton, the hot Country duo Sugarland and the International hitmaker Enrique Iglesias.

NMW named Berry’s song the # 3 Hot AC Most Added while debuting at # 40 on the Hot AC Main Chart and # 12 on the Hot AC Indie. Berry also scored on the Top 40 side with “Please Come to Boston” named to the  Spincrease, Chartbound and Prime Mover lists, at the same time jumping 9 positions to # 12 on the Top 40 Indie Chart.

“ ‘Please Come to Boston’ has always been one of favorite songs. Its simple message of longing is sweet, nostalgic and perfectly timeless,” commented Berry, who was born in California, raised in Reno, and now travels the world performing his music. “I’ve been playing it live for the past few years and the response is always positive, no matter what country I’m in. It also has a deeply personal meaning for me since I’m often traveling and away from my own family.”
